    A gated cottage community in the Blue Ridge foothills at Landrum, in upstate South Carolina, where the cottage is bought and the ground beneath it is leased. The community says a cottage may be lived in the year round, and the monthly lease covers the water, the sewer, the refuse collection, the internet and the landscaping of the shared ground. Two of its cabins are let to visitors.
